Description

  • Design and develop scalable backend systems for AI-powered platforms.
  • Build and maintain AI integrations, workflows, and automation pipelines across monitoring, CI/CD, ticketing, and cloud systems.
  • Implement REST APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and data pipelines that support AI decision-making.
  • Work on LLM integrations, prompt engineering, orchestration layers, and RAG-based workflows.
  • Build and maintain full-stack AI applications using TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
  • Design database schemas and queries for complex operational domains.
  • Collaborate with Product, SRE, Infrastructure, and other cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Improve system performance, reliability, observability, and production troubleshooting.
  • Build evaluation and observability systems to measure model quality and product performance.
  • Create reusable platforms, frameworks, and internal tools that speed up development and shipping.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on full-stack web development.
  • Expertise in TypeScript and React, including modern patterns and component architecture.
  • Production experience with Next.js, including App Router, Server Components, API routes, SSR/SSG, and edge deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, including prompt engineering, streaming APIs, function calling, tool use, chaining, and orchestration.
  • Experience with the Vercel AI SDK or similar unified LLM tooling.
  • Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers or MCP-based tool use is required or strongly preferred.
  • Strong backend fundamentals in Node.js or Python, REST/GraphQL APIs, relational databases, Redis, and authentication.
  • Solid database design experience with PostgreSQL, Drizzle ORM, schema modeling, query optimization, and migrations.
  • Experience building scalable distributed systems in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, Radix UI, and modern component-driven UI development.
  • High agency and the ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and drive problems to completion.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Nice-to-have experience with agentic coding tools, AI agent frameworks, or developer-facing SDKs/APIs.
  • Nice-to-have experience with the Vercel ecosystem, evaluation frameworks, sandboxed execution environments, or observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Sentry.
  • Nice-to-have proficiency with Python, FastAPI or Django, data pipelines, and ML tooling.
  • Nice-to-have experience building automation platforms, research tools, experimentation platforms, or open-source tools.
  • Nice-to-have familiarity with real-time features, advanced web technologies, or alternate JavaScript runtimes such as Bun or Deno.
