Description

  • Engage with developers, game studios, and other partners to identify opportunities and address challenges for gaming experiences.
  • Partner with internal teams to design, build, and maintain features that help users connect through gaming on desktop and mobile.
  • Expand and safeguard the collection of games and game-related metadata that powers gaming features across the platform.
  • Work with Content, Marketing, and ML teams to improve ranking and discovery systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, product owners, and data scientists to build engaging and trusted experiences.
  • Experiment and iterate on ideas that improve user interactions.
  • Lead projects, gather requirements, support partners, and mentor others.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a fullstack software engineer.
  • Experience with React/TypeScript, Python, or other modern programming languages.
  • Comfort switching between different technical stacks and learning new ones.
  • Experience collaborating closely with product, design, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to take a holistic, first-principles approach to problem solving.
  • Experience leading projects, gathering requirements, supporting partners, and mentoring others.
  • Track record of shipping incremental features that improve the overall experience.
  • Must be a Discord user and interested in improving the product.
  • Strong passion for gaming (preferred).
  • Games industry experience, such as at a game studio, developer, or DevOps team (preferred).
  • Experience working on developer platforms or tooling (preferred).
  • Experience with mobile native stacks such as iOS, Obj-C, Swift, Android, Java, or Kotlin (preferred).

  • US base salary range of $196,000 to $220,500.
