Description

  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas within the assigned territory.
  • Prospect within the territory to develop new opportunities and respond to leads from marketing, trade shows, inquiries, and referrals.
  • Travel overnight and within the territory to conduct comprehensive sales cycles and meet prospects.
  • Use practice and site surveys to assess prospective clients’ software and system requirements.
  • Demonstrate Nextech software capabilities, prepare price proposals, and present return-on-investment analyses.
  • Negotiate contract terms within company guidelines and obtain approvals for nonstandard terms when needed.
  • Complete required paperwork to process sales and coordinate with implementation, support, accounting, and account management teams.
  • Maintain contact with clients through implementation, go-live, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Use Salesforce.com to track leads, action items, and forecast monthly and quarterly results.
  • Mentor and train RSMs and Associate Sales Reps, and take on special projects to improve the sales function.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of enterprise sales experience, preferably selling into physician practices, healthcare organizations, or private equity-backed healthcare groups.
  • Experience selling to or working within Ophthalmology practices.
  • 2+ years of transactional selling experience.
  • Demonstrated accountability and ability to independently manage sales cycles; managerial experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to secure access to executive-level practice leadership, including Medical Director, Chief Physician, or Board level.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% by air or long-distance driving within the territory.
  • If remote, a dedicated home office, high-speed internet access, and reasonable access to a major airport are required.
