Description

  • Build, maintain, and scale backend services and supporting tools.
  • Participate in architectural decisions for the distributed tracing pipeline.
  • Work with product and experience teams to define specifications and influence the product roadmap.
  • Create automation and tooling to improve scalability and deployment.
  • Operate in an agile, DevOps-style environment, including ownership of on-call rotations.
  • Use AI tools to speed up development, code review, and production troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to a culture of technical excellence and shared knowledge.

Requirements

  • Experience with distributed systems, concurrency, and scaling in production environments.
  • Strong software development experience in an object-oriented language such as Kotlin, Java, or Go.
  • Comfort adapting to different languages and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with asynchronous programming techniques such as streams, event-based flows, task queues, and message queues.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, Agile environment and delivering production code regularly.
  • Collaborative work style that includes colleagues in important decisions and shared code ownership.
  • Adaptability in a rapidly changing industry and curiosity about AI.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Contributions to open source projects are a plus.
  • Understanding of build and test automation and its benefits is a plus.
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry or related industry knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience in technical mentorship and supporting colleagues' skill development is a plus.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
