Description

  • Design and develop backend services and scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Build low-latency services and integrations with external SDKs and platforms in AWS.
  • Develop secure multi-tenant environments using PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and Row-Level Security.
  • Write raw SQL and manage database schemas and migrations.
  • Contribute to frontend development with React when needed.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD applications and workflows.
  • Implement comprehensive testing, including integration, database, failure-mode, and fault-injection testing.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to deliver high-quality solutions and meet commitments.
  • Apply best practices while taking ownership and accountability for deliverables.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional, backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building scalable RESTful APIs and low-latency AWS services.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security.
  • Experience building secure multi-tenant environments and managing schema migrations with tools such as node-postgres or node-pg-migrate.
  • Professional experience with React and full-stack development.
  • Experience with AI coding assistants in daily development.
  • Strong testing practices and experience working with large, complex systems.
  • Ability to overlap with US business hours; bachelor's degree required.
  • Preferred: experience with event-sourced, append-only, or bitemporal data models; Fastify and Zod; AWS Fargate/ECS; or compliance-sensitive domains.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ownership, accountability, and client focus.
