Description

  • Lead the strategy and evolution of pricing, packaging, and monetization across plans, tiers, usage models, overages, commitments, discounting, storage pricing, regional pricing, and annual plans.
  • Ship billing as a product, including metering accuracy, invoicing, payments, refunds, and customer-facing usage visibility.
  • Own the accounts foundation, including sign-up and authentication, identity, organizations, teams, seats, roles and permissions, account security, and fraud and abuse prevention.
  • Build and lead the pricing and packaging experimentation program using product analytics, conversion and activation data, customer insight, and usage telemetry.
  • Partner with Finance to develop pricing approaches that balance customer value, business goals, and long-term sustainability.
  • Work closely with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to set priorities, evaluate tradeoffs, and drive alignment on the highest-impact opportunities.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders, including the CEO and CFO, on pricing and packaging strategy.
  • Influence decisions across Finance, Sales, UX, and Engineering to move commercially significant initiatives forward.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience.
  • Experience leading pricing, packaging, monetization, or other commercially significant product initiatives for developer-focused, SaaS, or usage-based products.
  • Deep experience with usage-based, credit-based, subscription, or seat-based business models.
  • Experience with metering, tiering, overages, enterprise commitments, discounting, and the tradeoffs among them.
  • Hands-on experience with billing platforms such as Orb, Stripe, Zuora, Metronome, or similar tools.
  • Experience with billing pipelines and ledgers, and treating billing as a customer-facing surface.
  • A track record of driving measurable business outcomes, including revenue impact, through product strategy, experimentation, and execution.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and making clear recommendations when decisions matter.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence across Finance, Sales, UX, and Engineering and partner effectively with senior leaders and executives.
  • Experience monetizing AI, agent, inference, or other usage-based products, including token-, credit-, or consumption-based pricing models, is a plus.
  • Experience standing up international and regional pricing and non-US payment methods is a plus.

Benefits

  • Salary range targeted at $200,000 - $270,000 for most US-based locations.
