Description

  • Build, lead, and manage an engineering group (e.g., Backend+Data, Frontend+Mobile, QA+DevOps) of 30+ people, including coaching and growing Tech Leads.
  • Define and enforce architecture, coding, review, and delivery standards across projects and domains.
  • Own commerce capability across Headless Commerce, PIM/DAM, Headless CMS and complex integration patterns, including recommended stacks and reference architectures.
  • Jump into projects in crisis to diagnose issues, propose and drive recovery plans, and perform architectural and code reviews.
  • Support presales and deal reviews by providing architecture options, reliable estimates, risk assessments, and feasibility analysis for unfamiliar domains.
  • Monitor and drive engineering health and performance metrics (velocity, rework, cycle/lead time, bug rate, test coverage, code quality, morale) and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Recruit, coach, and grow engineers and Tech Leads, run feedback and growth planning, and create competency roadmaps for the domain.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of engineering experience with a full‑stack mindset preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience leading teams, managing Tech Leads, and scaling engineering capabilities.
  • Strong background in at least one commerce stack (e.g., Headless Commerce, PIM/DAM, Headless CMS) with cross‑stack operational ability.
  • Experience supporting presales and proposal reviews, and providing reliable estimations and risk assessments.
  • Proven ability to break down unfamiliar domains and provide architecture, feasibility, and estimation outputs.
  • Deep technical literacy to audit code, architecture, CI/CD, and quality gates, plus strong system design skills.
  • Competence to operate across frontend, backend, mobile, DevOps, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and ability to navigate priorities in multi‑stakeholder environments; Polish and English at B2+ level.
  • Nice to have: React Native or native mobile familiarity; experience with payments, logistics, or marketplace platforms; experience in software consulting, product development, or digital delivery models; background in growing Tech Leads or leading engineering transformation.
