Description

  • Lead and grow an engineering team focused on Enterprise Audit capabilities, including audit trails, admin activity tracking, audit log APIs/exports, retention policies, and audit experiences.
  • Define and drive the Enterprise Audit roadmap with Product, Security, Compliance, and partner engineering teams.
  • Own the architecture and delivery of secure, highly reliable, and scalable audit systems for enterprise-scale event capture, processing, storage, and reporting.
  • Build audit as a platform capability with strong guarantees around integrity, durability, tamper resistance, and consistent event schemas.
  • Embed security and privacy practices into audit systems, including least privilege, encryption, defensible access patterns, data minimization, and retention/deletion behavior.
  • Establish operational excellence through SLIs/SLOs, monitoring, incident response, capacity planning, and on-call health.
  • Coach and develop engineers and engineering leads while fostering ownership, high-quality delivery, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate progress, tradeoffs, risks, and outcomes clearly with stakeholders and leadership.
  • Deliver meaningful audit improvements such as expanded coverage, better exportability, stronger retention controls, and improved performance at scale.
  • Build a durable, extensible Enterprise Audit foundation that supports customer trust, governance, and compliance.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, including building distributed systems and production services at scale.
  • 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams with a track record of coaching, delivery, and talent development.
  • Experience designing systems where data integrity, traceability, and reliability are critical, such as audit/logging, compliance platforms, security telemetry, or billing/ledger systems.
  • Strong understanding of security fundamentals, including authentication, authorization, RBAC, encryption, and secure-by-design practices.
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally, align priorities, and deliver through ambiguity.
  • Strong Agile delivery habits and a pragmatic approach to balancing speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.
  • Legally eligible to work in Bulgaria on an ongoing basis.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Experience with enterprise audit or compliance-related systems is preferred.
  • Experience leading platform capabilities used by multiple product areas is preferred.
