Description

  • Lead the design, development, and evolution of Darwin, Wellhub’s internal backoffice platform.
  • Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of backend and frontend engineers.
  • Stay hands-on while guiding the delivery of high-scale internal tools and workflows.
  • Define and implement a scalable micro-frontend architecture using React and TypeScript.
  • Design and develop robust backend services and Backend-for-Frontend patterns.
  • Troubleshoot platform issues and automate manual operational tasks.
  • Oversee backend services that power AI chatbots and self-service tools.
  • Establish engineering standards for TypeScript, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Partner with Product, Operations, and Design to turn business needs into technical roadmaps.
  • Support legacy systems while driving modernization toward high-scale architectures.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Brazil and able to work remotely from anywhere in the country.
  • Prior experience as a Tech Lead is mandatory.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a formal or informal leadership or management capacity.
  • Strong experience architecting large-scale, multi-tier web applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of React and extensive experience with TypeScript.
  • Expert-level command of TypeScript and JavaScript.
  • Experience with SQL technologies such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and RESTful web services.
  • Prior experience with AWS, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Familiarity with Go and Kotlin or Java.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
  • Advanced English skills for working with global, distributed teams.
  • Preferred experience with micro-frontend architecture and split-testing in complex environments.
  • Preferred knowledge of message brokering tools such as RabbitMQ or Kafka and asynchronous processing.
  • Preferred understanding of BFF patterns, object-oriented design, and functional programming paradigms.
  • Comfort leading in an Agile/Scrum environment.
