Description

  • Deliver virtual and in-person professional development sessions in French for French and French Immersion educators.
  • Provide real-time coaching on lesson planning, assessment tools, and platform integration.
  • Support educators in implementing the Edwin platform into classroom practice.
  • Participate in Edwin onboarding training and ongoing internal learning webinars.
  • Conduct pre-session interviews with Nelson team leads to align on session focus and goals.
  • Prepare sessions using provided materials such as PowerPoints, guides, and digital supports.
  • Ensure customer surveys and internal feedback forms are completed after each session.
  • Support the development of classroom-ready French-language resources, including lesson plans and curriculum maps.
  • Collaborate with the Content & Curriculum team to review and contribute to French-language resources.

Requirements

  • Fluent in French, both spoken and written, with the ability to present and coach in French.
  • Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) with experience in the public education system.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for supporting French-language educators through professional learning.
  • Comfort and confidence using digital learning tools.
  • Ability to work virtually and in person, with occasional travel required.
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility for daytime or after-school hours.
  • Experience supporting French Immersion educators is preferred.
  • Availability for freelance work with a weekly range of 10-25 hours.

Benefits

  • $50/hour compensation for training, preparation, educator sessions, session summaries, surveys, and French-language resource development/review.
  • Mileage reimbursement at $0.61/km up to 5,000 km and $0.65/km thereafter.
  • Business-related travel reimbursement for trips over 30 km one way.
  • Bi-weekly invoicing with templates provided.
  • Flexible freelance schedule matched to your availability and expertise.
