Description

  • Design, implement, and conduct corporate training programs, especially for complex revenue cycle claims education.
  • Use adult learning principles to explain and demonstrate tasks and job responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with departmental leadership to define training objectives, content, and materials.
  • Create training materials such as manuals, job aids, videos, e-learning modules, and assessments.
  • Deliver instruction in classroom, virtual, 1:1, and e-learning formats to diverse audiences.
  • Monitor new hire performance during training and take ownership of performance improvement.
  • Maintain training records, attendance, assessment scores, and training materials.
  • Administer written and practical exams and prepare progress and performance reports for management.
  • Use quality assurance feedback to identify and implement training improvements.
  • Organize and schedule ongoing training classes and coordinate new hire orientation with HR and other departments.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of healthcare experience in a healthcare setting, business office, revenue cycle, or patient accounting.
  • Knowledge of the full revenue cycle from front to back.
  • Understanding of provider and payer claim adjudication processes.
  • Experience with Worker’s Compensation, Veterans Administration, MVA, and/or Medicaid claims preferred.
  • 1 year of relevant technical and/or revenue cycle training experience preferred.
  • Strong computer proficiency with MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook, plus patient accounting software.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to keep stakeholders informed on deadlines, milestones, and delays.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to develop accurate, grammatically correct written materials and work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
