Description

  • Own the architectural integrity and long-term technical roadmap for the multi-tenant SaaS platform.
  • Drive architectural strategy to support global expansion and high-performance requirements.
  • Architect and embed AI/ML capabilities into the platform and translate emerging technologies into production features.
  • Lead design reviews, establish documentation standards, and coach engineers to strengthen technical leadership across the organization.
  • Identify and mitigate technical debt and institutional knowledge risk.
  • Ensure systems are observable, resilient, and well-governed.
  • Partner with the Head of Engineering and Product leadership to align technical decisions with the product vision.
  • Act as the primary voice for architectural clarity within Engineering and Product teams.
  • Mentor senior engineers and influence engineering practices without relying on direct line management.
  • Support governance and risk management for long-term platform health.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience designing and evolving complex, multi-tenant SaaS platforms at scale.
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS cloud architecture preferred, or Azure, across multiple regions.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and influence engineering teams without direct line management authority.
  • Experience integrating complex SaaS platforms with Salesforce or equivalent CRM platforms at an architectural level.
  • Track record of reducing technical debt and institutional knowledge risk while balancing delivery needs with platform health.
  • Exceptional ability to explain complex architectural concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience architecting or evolving AI-enabled products or integrating ML frameworks into a global production environment (highly desirable).
  • Familiarity with real-time communications systems, telephony infrastructure, or VoIP (highly desirable).
  • Knowledge of architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, C4, or similar models (highly desirable).
  • Experience establishing principal engineer or architecture governance functions within a growing organization (highly desirable).
  • Must be currently resident in the UK with a valid, permanent right to work in the UK.
  • Must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
