Description

  • Lead design and technical implementation decisions for robust order-processing systems.
  • Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot highly available backend services and integrations.
  • Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices, including AI tooling.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders from requirements gathering through release, operation, and maintenance.
  • Drive quality initiatives and support testing activities with QA engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software development experience building secure, scalable backend services with Java and Spring Boot.
  • Strong experience with event-driven architecture, Apache Kafka, and message processing.
  • Experience with GraphQL API design and implementation in Java.
  • Experience with service-oriented and microservice architectures and distributed-systems monitoring.
  • Experience building and operating software in AWS, including EC2, ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, and S3.
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, Elasticsearch, and DynamoDB, with database design and optimization experience.
  • Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, JUnit, and Mockito.
  • Knowledge of test-driven development, domain-driven development, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
  • Experience working with remote or hybrid teams, including overseas contractors, and mentoring engineers.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills; experience with AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, MCPs, or AI agents.
