Description

  • Analyze business requirements, specifications, and technical designs to identify quality risks and gaps early.
  • Design, develop, and execute test cases, test plans, and scripts for new features, non-functional requirements, and regression coverage.
  • Perform end-to-end testing of backend web services, including REST and SOAP APIs, in a microservice architecture.
  • Contribute to and maintain Java-based backend/API automation for regression and integration scenarios.
  • Identify, document, track, and communicate defects through resolution.
  • Manage test data and validate data using SQL queries and database checks.
  • Collaborate with developers, automation testers, and production support engineers to improve software quality.
  • Lead stakeholder demo sessions to present test results, findings, and observations.
  • Troubleshoot issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and improve QA processes, reporting, documentation, and practices.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
  • Hands-on test automation experience, preferably for backend/API testing with TestNG, RestAssured, or Playwright.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience writing clear, comprehensive test cases and performing requirements analysis, test design, defect reporting, and risk identification.
  • Understanding of microservice architecture and integration testing.
  • Hands-on experience testing REST and SOAP web services and APIs using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
  • Practical SQL experience for database querying and test validation, plus understanding of XML and JSON.
  • Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban environments with Jira, Confluence, TestRail, or XRay.
  • Knowledge of messaging systems and patterns, including topics, queues, and Azure Service Bus, and familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
  • Upper-Intermediate written and spoken English; Azure cloud testing, deeper CI/CD integration, non-functional testing, backend-heavy platforms, and telecom domain knowledge are preferred.
