Description

  • Participate in the development of new features and initiatives from initial requirement analysis through test planning, execution, regression testing, and final release sign-off.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers to prioritize testing efforts, clarify requirements, challenge assumptions, and coordinate Business Acceptance Testing.
  • Work across backend and frontend systems on a team focused primarily on new development rather than maintenance.
  • Partner with SDETs to expand and maintain automated test coverage for new features and regression testing.
  • Collaborate with other manual QA engineers on cross-team and cross-business-unit projects.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate quality risks before release.
  • Advocate for customer needs and ensure products meet high standards of quality and reliability.
  • Support quality practices in a cross-functional environment with engineers, product, and data teams across the US and Poland.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of QA experience with a focus on manual testing, including Black Box, White Box, and Grey Box testing.
  • Good knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with API testing using Postman or Swagger, including validation of API requests and responses.
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL for data validation, query writing, and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Experience designing, executing, and reporting test cases for complex front-end and back-end systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently as a problem solver and contribute as a collaborative team player.
  • Strong written and spoken English and at least basic Polish.
  • Availability in the afternoons, with occasional evening meetings due to multinational team collaboration.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and their impact on QA is a plus.
  • Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Coralogix or Prometheus is a plus.
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress, frameworks such as Jest or Mocha, and languages such as Python or JavaScript for occasional automation support is a plus.
  • Experience with non-functional testing is a plus.
