Description

  • Design end-to-end data architectures on Snowflake and/or Databricks using Azure and/or AWS.
  • Define lakehouse and data warehouse patterns, including medallion architecture, data vault, and dimensional models.
  • Lead legacy data-platform migrations to the cloud, from assessment and roadmap through cutover planning.
  • Set standards for data modelling, pipeline design, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and environment strategy.
  • Design data governance, security, compliance, lineage, and cataloguing capabilities.
  • Optimize data-platform cost and performance through sizing, cluster policies, and FinOps practices.
  • Run discovery workshops and architecture reviews with client stakeholders in Spanish and English.
  • Support pre-sales through solution design, estimates, proposals, and client presentations.
  • Mentor data engineers, review designs and code, and serve as the technical escalation point.
  • Prepare data foundations for BI, advanced analytics, ML, and GenAI use cases.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering or data platforms, including 3+ years as a Data or Solution Architect.
  • Hands-on production experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure and/or AWS data services, such as ADLS Gen2, Data Factory, Synapse/Fabric, S3, Glue, Redshift, and Lake Formation.
  • Expert SQL, solid Python or Scala, and Spark experience.
  • Experience with dimensional modelling, data vault, and lakehouse design.
  • Experience with orchestration and transformation tools such as Airflow, dbt, Azure Data Factory, or Databricks Workflows.
  • Working knowledge of Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation and CI/CD for data platforms.
  • Experience leading at least one cloud data-platform build or migration from design through production.
  • Client-facing consulting experience, including workshops, architecture presentations, and expectation management.
  • Fluent or native Spanish and at least B2 written and spoken English.
  • Based in an EU or LATAM country with the right to work there.
  • Relevant Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, or AWS certifications (preferred).
  • Experience with streaming architectures, data mesh, MLOps, GenAI data foundations, or relevant industry domains (preferred).
  • Portuguese language skills for Brazil-based clients (preferred).
