Description

  • Design and maintain the platform’s core microservices, including model gateway, agent orchestration, and retrieval APIs.
  • Apply clean and hexagonal architecture principles to build maintainable, testable, and scalable systems.
  • Implement resilience and scalability patterns such as caching, rate limiting, retries, and event-driven or message queue architectures.
  • Own the full service lifecycle from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and other engineering teams to define technical solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and adherence to engineering best practices.
  • Contribute to technical decisions related to infrastructure, tooling, and system design.
  • Participate in incident response and troubleshooting for production systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of backend experience in Python with microservices running in production.
  • Strong experience with FastAPI or an equivalent async framework.
  • Hands-on experience applying hexagonal or clean architecture in production systems.
  • Experience with scalability and resilience patterns such as caching, rate limiting, retries, and message queues or event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability tools, ideally on AWS.
  • Experience integrating LLMs, including streaming, LiteLLM, LangGraph, and RAG, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Langfuse is preferred.
  • Experience with Kafka or SQS is preferred.
  • Knowledge of API security standards such as OAuth2/JWT is preferred.
  • Experience with Terraform is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the banking or financial industry is preferred.
