Description

  • Research, draft, edit, and track grant proposals, letters of inquiry, one-pagers, and other fundraising materials.
  • Develop accurate and timely grant reports and donor communications for current funders.
  • Collect, package, and incorporate impact stories and data into fundraising materials.
  • Research prospects and funders, prepare briefing materials, and coordinate follow-ups to steward relationships.
  • Partner with the VP of Growth to develop, implement, and manage annual and multi-year fundraising plans.
  • Improve development processes, pipeline tracking, metrics, and reporting, including maintaining Funding Partner records in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with Communications and Marketing on brand-aligned donor-facing materials such as one-pagers and pitch decks.
  • Assist with planning and executing special events and projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in development, fundraising, or investor relations; 4-5 years preferred.
  • Strong grant writing and proposal development skills with experience producing successful fundraising materials.
  • Experience developing and delivering grant reports and donor communications.
  • Interest in and readiness to use agentic AI and LLM-powered tools for proposal, RFP, and network-mapping work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Experience proofreading and copyediting.
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Interest in civic engagement, democratic participation, and community organizing.
  • Background in journalism, creative writing, PR, copywriting, or storytelling is preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM is preferred.
  • Experience in event planning, public programming, or brand activation initiatives is preferred.
