Description

  • Design and implement guidance, navigation, and control architectures and algorithms in embedded C++.
  • Define requirements for ADCS algorithms, hardware, and related systems across current missions and future roadmap development.
  • Analyze and simulate mission-specific GNC performance.
  • Collaborate on ground-processing algorithms for sensor calibration and offline geolocation pipelines.
  • Support anomaly resolution for on-orbit systems, including on-call duties.
  • Plan, execute, and validate software- and hardware-in-the-loop testing.

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent with 2–3+ years of professional experience, or several years of hands-on GNC analysis and design experience.
  • Proficiency in C++.
  • Knowledge of control and optimization theory.
  • Expertise with Python, Julia, or MATLAB.
  • Experience designing, analyzing, and implementing spacecraft ADCS/GNC subsystems.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and coordination skills.
  • Experience with flexible-body control stability analysis, precision-pointing ADCS, or spacecraft flight operations preferred.
  • U.S. Government security clearance preferred.
  • Must meet applicable U.S. export-control requirements for access to ITAR/EAR-controlled information.
