Description

  • Collect and analyze vibration and temperature data at client sites, customizing processing for each asset.
  • Perform vibration data collection, software modeling, programming, and engineering evaluations.
  • Assess machinery health and condition through detailed vibration analysis.
  • Develop software models and programs to expand the vibration data analysis library.
  • Provide actionable customer information, including appropriate alarm levels for pending failures.
  • Support hardware installations by recommending placement of machine-condition sensors.
  • Lead and expand AssetWatch’s predictive-maintenance tool development program.
  • Expand condition-monitoring capabilities into ultrasonic and oil/fluid analysis.
  • Collaborate with product development, installation, support teams, and customer reliability engineers to improve products and offerings.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant vibration data collection and analysis experience, preferably with FFT analyzers and predictive or preventive-maintenance software.
  • ISO Category II or higher vibration certification preferred; continued certification is expected.
  • Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems, including AC induction and DC motors.
  • Strong mechanical background with industrial equipment such as compressors, turbines, blowers, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Proficiency operating analyzers that measure vibration spectra and time waveforms.
  • Ability to recommend corrective actions based on field vibration data, observations, and discussions with plant personnel.
  • Ability to work on and around elevated fixed and rotating equipment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard PC applications.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, customer-service, integrity, and collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort working in a startup environment, across organizational levels, and taking on varied responsibilities.
