Description

  • Collect and analyze vibration and temperature data at customer sites to assess equipment condition and maintenance needs.
  • Perform vibration data collection, analysis, software modeling, programming, and engineering evaluations.
  • Evaluate machinery health through detailed vibration data analysis.
  • Develop software models and programs that expand and improve the vibration analysis library.
  • Provide customers with actionable information, including appropriate equipment alarm levels.
  • Support hardware installations and recommend placement of machine-condition sensors.
  • Lead and expand AssetWatch’s predictive-maintenance tool development program.
  • Expand condition-monitoring capabilities into ultrasonic, oil, and fluid analysis.
  • Collaborate with product development, installation, support, and customer reliability teams to create hardware, software, and product solutions.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience collecting and analyzing vibration data, ideally with FFT analyzers and predictive or preventive maintenance software.
  • ISO Category II or higher vibration certification preferred; continued certification is expected.
  • Strong understanding of electromechanical fundamentals, including AC induction and DC motors.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment such as compressors, turbines, blowers, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Proficiency operating vibration analyzers that measure spectra and time waveforms.
  • Ability to recommend corrective actions based on field vibration data, observations, and discussions with plant personnel.
  • Ability to work on and around elevated, fixed, and rotating equipment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard PC applications.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, customer-service, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a startup environment, take on varied responsibilities, and collaborate across organizational levels.
