Description

  • Design, build, and maintain Python and Django backend services that power provisioning, permissions, self-service purchasing, and subscription lifecycle workflows.
  • Design and implement APIs and event-driven integrations between Muck Rack and systems such as Salesforce Revenue Cloud, Stripe, and RightRev.
  • Lead the evolution of the internal integration platform and build scalable services that translate commercial events into product actions.
  • Partner with Product, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Salesforce implementation partners on integration patterns, API contracts, event models, and technical solutions.
  • Lead medium-to-large engineering initiatives from architecture through production delivery.
  • Identify cross-system dependencies and technical risks early and help unblock delivery across teams.
  • Write clean, well-tested, well-documented code and provide thoughtful code reviews and technical mentorship.
  • Improve reliability, observability, scalability, and performance of revenue-critical services.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues across systems and help establish resilience patterns.
  • Contribute to the long-term architecture of the revenue platform so it remains modular, maintainable, and extensible.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and extensive experience building production applications with Django.
  • Experience designing and building REST APIs and integrating with third-party platforms and external systems.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, particularly MySQL, and ORM patterns.
  • Experience designing scalable, maintainable backend services in a SaaS environment.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, or messaging platforms such as Kafka or Celery.
  • Proven ability to independently lead technical initiatives from architecture and design through production.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production support experience across distributed systems and integrations.
  • Experience using Git and modern collaborative software development workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics to technical and non-technical partners.
  • Flexibility to adjust working hours for overlap with teammates in US time zones.
  • Experience building or evolving internal integration platforms.
  • Experience integrating with Salesforce or other CRM platforms; Salesforce administration experience is not required.
  • Experience building systems for customer provisioning, subscription management, billing, or revenue workflows.
  • Experience designing event-driven or distributed systems.
  • Experience integrating with billing, payment, or quote-to-cash platforms.
  • Experience with Vue.js or another modern frontend framework.
  • Experience working in a high-growth SaaS environment.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude or GitHub Copilot.
