Description

  • Contribute to the design, development, and improvement of perception components that support downstream modules in the autonomy system.
  • Analyze perception system performance and help identify and address areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with teammates to explore solutions for long-tail challenges using approaches such as synthetic data, data mining, or new model architectures.
  • Optimize and deploy models to the vehicle when applicable, ensuring they fit onboard hardware constraints and meet functional requirements and interface specifications.
  • Interface with systems and safety engineers, test engineers, and data analysts to define requirements, test coverage, and performance metrics.
  • Work on cutting-edge computer vision and deep learning solutions for autonomous vehicle perception.
  • Learn from experienced teammates and contribute to high-quality software in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Solid understanding of core deep learning concepts and computer vision techniques.
  • Experience building, training, or evaluating neural networks.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with PyTorch or similar libraries.
  • Exposure to software engineering fundamentals, including version control, code reviews, testing, and collaborative development.
  • Clear communication skills and willingness to ask questions, share ideas, and work with others.
  • Previous experience with sensor fusion or exposure to the autonomous vehicle industry is a plus.
  • Experience shipping a real product and balancing ongoing support with next-generation innovation is preferred.
  • Exposure to safety-critical products or components is a plus.
  • Publications in relevant conferences such as CVPR, ICML, or NeurIPS are a plus.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and/or CUDA are a plus.
  • Experience with TensorRT and model quantization is a plus.

  • Base salary range of $136,500 to $225,000 USD.
