Description

  • Define and evolve the technical architecture, standards, contracts, and design principles for Caseware’s AI platform.
  • Design, build, and operate LLM-powered systems, retrieval pipelines, agentic workflows, multi-agent systems, and human-in-the-loop capabilities.
  • Implement AI evaluation, governance, auditability, explainability, and traceability frameworks.
  • Translate emerging AI advances into maintainable platform capabilities that solve customer problems.
  • Lead architecture reviews, RFCs, design discussions, proof-of-concepts, and technical direction across teams.
  • Evaluate emerging AI models, frameworks, technologies, and cloud capabilities.
  • Drive reliability, observability, monitoring, alerting, incident response, scalability, and cost efficiency for production AI systems.
  • Collaborate with Product, QA, Security, domain experts, and Engineering teams to deliver business value.
  • Mentor engineers and influence architectural decisions across teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with impact beyond a single team.
  • 2+ years of experience building and operating production AI systems.
  • Experience designing distributed, SaaS, cloud-native, multi-tenant platforms at scale.
  • Experience implementing AI guardrails, governance controls, and safety mechanisms.
  • Strong understanding of AI tradeoffs involving latency, cost, accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
  • Extensive experience operating production systems on AWS.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and influencing architecture across teams.
  • Strong English communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working with ambiguity.
  • Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy domains (preferred), or familiarity with accounting, auditing, or financial workflows (preferred).
  • Experience with relevant technologies such as TypeScript, NestJS, Python, AWS EKS, Lambda, Bedrock, AgentCore, OpenSearch, Textract, DynamoDB, S3, LangChain, LangGraph, LangFuse, or LangSmith.
