Description

  • Research and profile major donors, foundations, and event attendees ahead of CEO engagements.
  • Draft outreach emails, thank-you notes, and cultivation communications in the CEO’s voice.
  • Move donors through the cultivation pipeline from first contact to scheduled meeting to funded commitment.
  • Identify, track, and manage grant opportunities and submission calendars end to end.
  • Write grant proposals, letters of inquiry, donor reports, and major gift case statements.
  • Prepare briefing materials for the CEO’s speaking engagements and conferences.
  • Maintain and update the donor CRM so the pipeline stays current and actionable.
  • Proactively surface new funding strategies and prospect ideas.
  • Support major donor cultivation from research through close in close collaboration with the CEO.

Requirements

  • Experience in business development, nonprofit development, major gifts, or a donor-facing fundraising role.
  • Demonstrated success writing grant proposals or major donor communications that resulted in funding.
  • Familiarity with donor cultivation strategy and the major gifts cycle.
  • Comfort operating as an extension of a CEO or senior leader, including drafting in their voice and owning follow-through.
  • Experience in a startup, early-stage organization, or resource-constrained environment is a plus.
  • CRM experience is helpful but not required.
  • Must be comfortable working independently in a remote, startup environment with limited hand-holding and high expectations.
  • Must be mission-aligned and interested in equitable development and community ownership.
  • Must be a strong writer who can tailor communications for foundation officers and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Must be scrappy, resourceful, strategic, relationship-oriented, and driven by outcomes.

Benefits

  • Fully remote, global position.
  • Monthly compensation of $1,500 to $1,800, commensurate with experience.
