Description

  • Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB.
  • Advise customers on architecture patterns and optimization strategies while articulating business value to stakeholders.
  • Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, prioritization, and pipeline generation.
  • Own the technical aspects of the sales process, including discovery, demos, proof of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
  • Proactively generate demand through technical initiatives and participation in trade shows and account-based marketing events.
  • Build strong customer relationships, develop champions, and support customer success and satisfaction.
  • Relay field feedback to the product team and help improve MongoDB solutions and processes.
  • Mentor other Solutions Consulting team members.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on MongoDB products and industry trends.

Requirements

  • 8 to 11 years of related experience in a customer-facing role, including 5 to 7 years in pre-sales with enterprise software.
  • At least 3 years of experience with modern scripting languages such as Python, Node.js, or SQL, and/or programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or C#.
  • Experience designing scalable and highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Proven ability to review complex application architectures and recommend improvements using technology.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical and business concepts clearly.
  • Ability to strategize with sales teams on multi-threaded account plans and align internal and ecosystem resources.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Preferred experience selling databases or deploying applications with major cloud providers.
  • Preferred experience with database programming and data models.
  • Preferred experience in data engineering or AI/ML projects.
  • Preferred experience modernizing legacy systems into scalable technology stacks.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message.
  • MongoDB Certification preferred.
  • Cloud Provider Certification preferred.
