Description

  • Own and communicate a multi-year vision and strategy for MongoDB’s internal data products.
  • Translate enterprise data strategy into a prioritized roadmap for executive stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Product Managers.
  • Champion the development of canonical golden data assets as single sources of truth across core business domains.
  • Drive self-serve data capabilities that let business users access and act on trusted data with minimal friction.
  • Partner with leadership to identify and prioritize high-value data product opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering, Architecture, Platform, Governance, Analytics, and Data Science teams to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Define and own success metrics for the data product portfolio and demonstrate business impact.
  • Establish product development practices including roadmap planning, backlog management, agile delivery, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Drive organization-wide adoption through storytelling, documentation, enablement, and change management.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including 3–5 years in a senior leadership role managing product managers.
  • Experience delivering data products or data platforms at scale.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large, strategic, enterprise-wide data democratization initiatives with executive visibility.
  • Deep understanding of modern data ecosystems, including data pipelines, lakehouse and medallion architectures, analytics platforms, and data governance frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence with the ability to present complex technical strategies to C-suite audiences.
  • Proven ability to define and execute a vision for trusted, governed data assets and scalable self-serve data capabilities.
  • Experience building and scaling self-serve analytics and data enablement programs.
  • Experience partnering with and influencing senior leaders across the company.
  • Strong people leadership skills with a track record of developing and retaining high-performing product talent.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Background in analytics, data science, or data engineering (preferred).
  • Familiarity with metadata management, data discoverability, or data catalog tooling (preferred).
  • Exposure to AI/ML product development in the context of enterprise data platforms (preferred).

  • Base salary range of $168,000–$330,000 USD for U.S.-based candidates.
