Description

  • Write skill-based course materials, presentations, videos, and instructional content.
  • Design hands-on activities, code examples, and visualizations that demonstrate MongoDB concepts.
  • Create skill checks, certification questions, and skill badges to assess learner knowledge.
  • Collaborate with curriculum engineers, designers, subject-matter experts, video producers, product teams, and marketing from discovery through launch.
  • Contribute to AI tooling that supports the development of high-quality educational content.
  • Develop expertise in a subset of MongoDB products and help shape content strategy and direction.
  • Represent MongoDB training at webinars, conferences, and other public events.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of MongoDB, software development, and learning sciences.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of industry experience working with databases, MongoDB, NoSQL, software development, or related technologies.
  • Experience as a developer, DBA, systems administrator, or in a comparable technical role.
  • Experience presenting or teaching instructional content to a general audience.
  • Strong writing and instructional communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency in at least one contemporary programming language, such as Python, Node.js, or Java.
  • Ability to review technical content and code.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and some cloud experience.
  • Experience with modern AI tooling.
  • MongoDB or NoSQL experience is preferred.
  • Passion for education and learning; a Computer Science degree is not required.
