Description

  • Lead customer engagements using a value-based selling approach to define the current state, desired future state, value gap, and delivery plan.
  • Manage existing customers through value realization activities to validate achieved value, identify improvement opportunities, and uncover new growth opportunities.
  • Develop Business Value Consulting collateral for internal and customer-facing use as new MongoDB initiatives are released or practice gaps are identified.
  • Use business, technical, and financial analysis to assess customer baseline and future-state capabilities.
  • Create and present business cases and forecast the business impact customers can achieve using MongoDB solutions.
  • Translate technical concepts and recommendations into business benefits for executives and management.
  • Coach the sales organization to support tactical and strategic opportunity success.
  • Serve as a mentor to sellers by contributing to account and opportunity planning.
  • Conduct discovery and interview sessions with business and technical stakeholders on the customer side.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited college; preferred fields include Business Management, Economics, Finance, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience as a Business and Technology Strategy Consultant with business case experience.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in the IT industry, technology strategy, pre-sales consulting for software vendors, application development, or data.
  • Expertise in business and financial modeling, including familiarity with ROI, TCO, NPV, and IRR.
  • Advanced proficiency in productivity tools, including custom spreadsheet building, presentations, and data visualizations.
  • Experience leading discovery sessions with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience working with executive- and senior-level stakeholders.
  • Strong technical understanding of enterprise infrastructure, technology stacks, SDLC, Agile, DevOps, and RDBMS and/or NoSQL software.
  • Ability to adapt to customer situations and articulate value from both pre-sales and post-sales perspectives (ideal candidate).
  • Experience in a business value role for a software vendor (ideal candidate).
