Description

  • Embed with ISV engineering teams and adapt to their codebases, practices, release processes, and deployment environments.
  • Design and build MongoDB-backed capabilities, including data models, indexes, queries, persistence layers, integrations, and migration tooling.
  • Implement database coexistence and migration solutions using synchronization, CDC, dual writes, application refactoring, validation, and controlled cutovers.
  • Validate solutions for performance, scalability, resilience, observability, security, and operational readiness across cloud, private-cloud, and on-premises environments.
  • Enable partner engineers through collaborative development, code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Work with internal technical teams to resolve design questions and establish support boundaries.
  • Capture reusable implementation patterns, tooling, product gaps, and engagement lessons for future partner projects.
  • Travel regularly and work on-site with ISV partners during key engagement phases.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience building and operating production applications.
  • Strong application-side MongoDB expertise, including data modeling, aggregation, indexing, transactions, change streams, and query semantics.
  • Application-level expertise with at least one major relational database, including modeling, drivers or ORMs, indexing, transactions, query planning, and isolation assumptions.
  • Experience integrating databases into large production codebases and migrating workloads using persistence abstractions, synchronization, dual writes, or CDC.
  • Strong coding ability in at least two languages such as Java, C#/.NET, Node.js/TypeScript, Python, or Go.
  • Experience with APIs, distributed systems, containers, cloud, or self-managed deployment environments.
  • Experience with SaaS and product engineering, including multi-tenancy, tenant isolation, versioned schemas, and backward compatibility.
  • Willingness to travel within the region and spend significant time on-site with ISV partners.
  • Experience with ISVs, forward-deployed engineering, partner engineering, Kafka, microservices, observability, resilience, security, or regulated industries is preferred.
  • MongoDB certification, Atlas experience, or experience creating reusable tooling, reference implementations, and technical documentation is preferred.
