Description

  • Understand customer application portfolios and identify opportunities for modernization, cloud adoption, AI enablement, and data platform transformation.
  • Lead discovery, solutioning, estimation, and commercial negotiations to convert business initiatives into Professional Services bookings.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Professional Services, Customer Success, cloud partners, strategic partners, and account teams on customer success strategies.
  • Own deals and technical scoping from inception through closure.
  • Manage the Professional Services pipeline, including bookings and revenue forecasts for the region.
  • Articulate the business value of Professional Services and discuss delivery issues, challenges, strategies, approaches, and risk mitigation.
  • Develop repeatable internal assets such as estimates, proposals, SOWs, templates, tools, and case studies.
  • Transition agreed project scope and customer expectations to the delivery team to support successful implementation.
  • Support and mentor other team members and share best practices.
  • Maintain situational awareness and respond appropriately in group settings.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience selling Professional Services and/or technology solutions at an enterprise software company.
  • Experience in Professional Services sales, consulting sales, solution consulting, or quota-carrying technology roles.
  • Experience as an architect, consultant, project manager, or Professional Services manager.
  • Experience internally positioning and selling Professional Services.
  • A BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • General knowledge of databases, including RDBMS, SQL, and NoSQL.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Knowledge of software architecture across cloud and on-premises technologies such as AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Ability to collaborate within a larger account team to build and execute complex account strategies and sales plays.
  • Ability to scope and estimate projects.
  • Strong presentation skills for communicating the value and differentiators of complex service solutions.
  • Willingness to travel for key engagements and team offsites.
