Description

  • Develop Go-based APIs, microservices, and CLI tools for internal engineering teams.
  • Design and implement scalable automation across systems of record, SaaS platforms, and internal infrastructure.
  • Build governance-as-code systems for repository and service oversight.
  • Create secure self-service interfaces for requesting and managing infrastructure resources.
  • Deploy and maintain backend systems on Kubernetes/EKS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve platform reliability and responsiveness.
  • Own performance profiling, debugging, and optimization of platform systems.

Requirements

  • Professional experience as a Backend Engineer using Go.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience building services on Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, authentication, and authorization.
  • Experience with database schema design, performance optimization, and query optimization.
  • Experience with performance profiling and debugging tools.
  • Experience managing AWS infrastructure and using GitHub as a core platform.
  • Understanding of Git and continuous integration/continuous delivery.
  • Experience building internal developer tools or CLI applications.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and software delivery skills.
  • Interest in Platform as a Product and improving developer workflows.
  • Must reside in Australia or New Zealand.
