Description

  • Develop and maintain server-side logic using PHP with a focus on performance, responsiveness, and reliability.
  • Design, code, test, and support applications that improve business operations and competitiveness.
  • Evolve internal management frameworks to meet changing business requirements and phase out legacy systems.
  • Build and maintain bi-directional integrations across enterprise systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, and internal tools.
  • Design and implement APIs and RESTful services that follow industry standards.
  • Set up, maintain, and optimize databases to support a single source of truth for project data.
  • Identify and resolve bugs and bottlenecks to maintain stability of critical internal tooling.
  • Write clean, scalable, well-commented code following best practices.
  • Automate manual workflows and reduce friction to improve business velocity.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including specifications and API documentation.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of professional backend development experience, with PHP required.
  • Extensive knowledge of Symfony.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, application design patterns, and application analysis.
  • Proven experience with web services, REST API design, and third-party API integrations such as OAuth.
  • Experience with modern cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience with containerization or virtualization tools such as Docker.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency with database technologies such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Git version control.
  • Familiarity with security principles and best practices in web application development.
  • Secondary proficiency in languages such as NodeJS, Python, or TypeScript is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with ERP integrations such as NetSuite or Salesforce is a bonus.
  • Experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Understanding of front-end technologies such as ReactJS and Next.js is a plus.
