Description

  • Design and build API endpoints that power customer workflows.
  • Improve database and query performance.
  • Integrate the platform with a wide range of third-party services.
  • Translate product requirements into reliable business logic.
  • Diagnose and resolve customer issues.
  • Contribute to making the platform faster, more stable, and easier to use.
  • Collaborate with full-stack, data, ML, and DevOps engineers on scalable backend solutions.
  • Take ownership of projects and drive work to completion with minimal oversight.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Experience building external-facing APIs or designing integrations with third-party systems.
  • Strong system design, debugging, and problem-solving fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in Python, the company’s main stack, or a strong background in another object-oriented language.
  • Experience with serverless technologies such as Lambda and EC2.
  • Experience with asynchronous workflows and cloud environments.
  • Comfort working with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
  • Ability to communicate proactively and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Comfort with experimentation, rapid testing, and iteration.
  • Preferred: experience with LLMs or generative AI.
  • Preferred: experience with distributed systems.
