Description

Lead database deployments, including design, configuration, migration, and integration.
Conduct architectural reviews and recommend improvements for applications and databases.
Perform database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and health checks.
Advise clients on scaling, database best practices, and architectural improvements.
Create technical documentation, project plans, and reports.
Educate customers and internal teams on MySQL/MariaDB features, tools, and best practices.
Administer and maintain SQL databases and Linux environments.

Requirements

8+ years of experience with MySQL/MariaDB.
Proven expertise in end-to-end database migrations.
Extensive experience leading database deployments.
Strong experience with architectural reviews and high availability/database optimization recommendations.
Demonstrated ability in database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and health checks.
Strong consultative and client-facing skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience creating technical documentation, project plans, and reports.
Proven ability to mentor customers and internal teams on MySQL/MariaDB.
Hands-on administration and maintenance experience for SQL databases and Linux environments.
Fluent in English, written and verbal.
Experience working in an enterprise environment or on large-scale projects (preferred).
Hands-on Java development experience (preferred).
Hands-on Apache Ignite expertise (preferred).
Certification in MySQL, MariaDB, or related database technologies (preferred).
Experience with Oracle and Oracle migrations (preferred).
Multilingual: English plus one or more European languages (preferred).
