Description

  • Build and run the EMEA field marketing plan aligned to enterprise modernization and MariaDB Cloud adoption priorities.
  • Sequence regional initiatives by segment and vertical in line with sales goals and named account lists.
  • Own the regional field budget, including vendor sourcing, sponsorship negotiation, and expense management.
  • Partner with Sales to execute tiered ABM programs, define ICPs, and map buying committees across target accounts.
  • Use intent, fit, and product signals to prioritize accounts and personalize outreach by stage.
  • Own end-to-end execution of trade shows, executive dinners, roadshows, meetups, and virtual events.
  • Standardize pre-event activation, on-site capture, and post-event follow-up across channels.
  • Orchestrate buyer journeys using AI-assisted personalization, follow-up, and next-step summarization.
  • Build buyer enablement assets such as content hubs, solution blueprints, ROI/migration tools, and mutual action plans.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to create customer stories, case studies, and proof assets for field use.
  • Localize global campaigns and develop region-specific programs by vertical, ICP, and persona.
  • Collaborate with partner and channel stakeholders on co-marketing, co-sell, and marketplace motions.
  • Run a weekly operating cadence with sales leadership and maintain clear SDR handoffs and closed-loop follow-up.
  • Own reporting on lead conversion, opportunity creation, stage progression, program health, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience owning field or regional marketing in EMEA.
  • Experience turning regional plans into pipeline through events, ABM, and campaigns.
  • Strong ABM experience, including account tiering, buying-committee mapping, and stage-based programs.
  • Experience working closely with Sales and SDR teams.
  • Data-driven approach with experience in attribution, dashboards, and performance reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce and Marketo.
  • Experience with ABM and webinar platforms, data tools, and AI-assisted marketing workflows.
  • Ability to distinguish decision makers from practitioners and tailor messaging to each persona.
  • Highly organized, transparent, and comfortable working in spreadsheets, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Fluency in French or German is required.
  • Preferred experience with database, cloud, or developer audiences.
  • Preferred experience with OSS/community programs, hyperscaler motions, SI/ISV motions, and marketplace co-sell.
  • Must be authorized to work in the UK; MariaDB does not sponsor work visas or relocation.
  • Ability to work remotely from the UK or hybrid in London, England, with 2-3 days per week in office if hybrid.
