Description

  • Lead new business acquisition by targeting new logo accounts and expansion opportunities.
  • Develop and execute outbound sales motions to build and maintain a strong pipeline.
  • Manage a large active pipeline from lead generation through contract execution.
  • Prospect, identify, and engage stakeholders in SMB, mid-market, and select enterprise accounts.
  • Run the full sales cycle, including cold calling, qualification, virtual product demonstrations, negotiation, and closing.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts and client records in SFDC and Clari.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and sales leadership to improve outbound strategy, qualification, and customer onboarding.
  • Track industry trends and competitors to position MariaDB solutions effectively.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a quota-carrying closing sales role within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Proven success in a high-volume, high-velocity sales environment with short sales cycles.
  • Experience as a hunter focused on new logo acquisition and outbound pipeline generation.
  • Experience closing deals with SMB and mid-market clients.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to handle objections and sell at a senior level.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken, is mandatory.
  • Fluency in another European language is a plus.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales engagement tools such as SFDC, Sales Navigator, Salesloft, and Clari.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Database sales experience is a plus.
