Description

  • Identify high-potential businesses that are a fit for MariaDB.
  • Develop territory through outbound cold prospecting.
  • Follow up with, qualify, and develop inbound leads via phone, email, and social media.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to develop and execute inbound and outbound campaigns.
  • Schedule discovery calls with prospective clients and MariaDB Account Executives.
  • Interact with IT and business decision makers by telephone and email.
  • Update lead and prospect activity in Salesforce to support lead management.
  • Set qualified introductory meetings for the Sales team.
  • Nurture early-stage opportunities for future pipeline potential.
  • Exceed monthly and quarterly opportunity quotas.
  • Build strong relationships with marketing and Account Executive partners.
  • Record and manage daily work in tools such as Salesforce and Salesloft.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of B2B business development experience.
  • BA/BS degree.
  • Outstanding communication and listening skills.
  • Self-starter with a track record of hitting and exceeding goals.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently or with coaching.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Passion for cutting-edge technology and the ability to learn new IT software products quickly.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Salesloft is preferred.
  • Willingness to work remotely in the USA or from Austin, TX.
  • MariaDB does not sponsor work visas or relocation.

  • Annual base salary range of $52,500-$70,000 USD, or approximately $25-$34 per hour.
