Description

  • Generate net-new pipeline through cold outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn sequencing.
  • Build and execute territory plans targeting manufacturing plants and multi-site manufacturers aligned with the ICP.
  • Use Apollo, Salesforce, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to run repeatable outbound campaigns.
  • Engage manufacturing stakeholders across engineering, operations, plant leadership, quality, and IT.
  • Lead discovery conversations to uncover operational pain points on the factory floor.
  • Translate technical capabilities into clear business and ROI-driven value propositions.
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through demos, business case development, negotiation, and close.
  • Manage 60–150 day sales cycles and navigate multi-stakeholder buying committees and procurement processes.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and leadership to refine messaging, sales strategy, and the sales playbook.
  • Provide structured field feedback to inform the product roadmap and go-to-market evolution.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of enterprise software sales experience, including 5+ years in strategic account management, land-and-expand, or account executive roles managing $1M+ annual contract values.
  • Proven experience selling into manufacturing or industrial operations, including Fortune 500 or major multinational manufacturers.
  • Deep knowledge of plant operations, supply chain, or capital equipment decision-making.
  • Experience navigating C-suite, plant leadership, and cross-functional buying committees in complex strategic sales cycles lasting 9–18+ months.
  • Strong account planning skills, including identifying expansion opportunities and growing wallet share within existing accounts.
  • Ability to translate operational and financial metrics into ROI models and position technology as a strategic capital allocation decision.
  • Track record of building multi-year executive relationships and earning trust as a valued advisor.
  • Demonstrated success in land-and-expand motions, including expansion revenue, new use cases, or additional sites/business units.
  • Strong Salesforce discipline, including accurate forecasting, multi-year pipeline planning, and structured account documentation.
  • Willingness to travel 40–50% of the time for on-site business reviews, strategy sessions, and executive engagement.
  • Base location near major manufacturing clusters, such as the US Midwest or Southeast, with Ontario/Quebec preferred for Canadian accounts.
  • Nice to have: experience selling AI, advanced automation, machine learning, or edge computing solutions in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Nice to have: fluency in manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, labor utilization, scrap/rework costs, lead time reduction, throughput, quality, and asset utilization.
  • Nice to have: background in vertical software, ERP, MES, or operational technology sales.
  • Nice to have: experience in strategic GTM roles, sales enablement, or market and competitive intelligence.
  • Nice to have: prior success scaling a technology company into the enterprise market or building go-to-market playbooks for high-growth SaaS.
