Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain Appian applications, including workflows, interfaces, process models, and business rules.
  • Implement Appian objects such as records, process models, SAIL interfaces, and integrations aligned to enterprise architecture standards.
  • Support the full application lifecycle across development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Appian and external systems using REST and SOAP APIs, Kafka/DataHub pipelines, and relational databases.
  • Support data transformation, validation, and pipeline activities across cloud environments.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Technical Leads to translate requirements into user stories and technical solutions.
  • Maintain traceability across requirements, design, development, and testing using tools such as JIRA and GitLab.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and secure coding practices.
  • Support unit, integration, and regression testing, as well as defect resolution.
  • Monitor, tune, and optimize applications in AWS and/or Azure environments, and help resolve production issues in an O&M setting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–8+ years of software development experience.
  • 2+ years of Appian development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Appian process models, SAIL, and integrations.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and system integration.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in high-performance, mission-critical environments.
  • Must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident with Green Card status for 3 years to obtain the required clearance.
  • Experience supporting federal systems, particularly within DOL, IRS, or similar agencies, is preferred.
  • Experience with Kafka/DataHub or other event-driven architectures is preferred.
  • Experience with data pipelines, ETL, or large-scale data migrations is preferred.
  • Exposure to DevSecOps pipelines, such as GitLab CI/CD and automated testing frameworks, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Appian Certified Associate or Senior Developer certification is preferred.
  • AWS or Azure Cloud Certification is preferred.
  • Agile/Scrum certification such as CSM or SAFe is preferred.
