Description

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Twilio Flex platform services on AWS using microservices architecture principles.
  • Build and maintain highly scalable, distributed systems with a strong focus on reliability and performance.
  • Write automated unit and integration tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling.
  • Refactor code and reduce technical debt while upholding engineering standards through code reviews and design discussions.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering peers to influence roadmap priorities and propose architectural solutions.
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies to meet sprint commitments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues independently or with the team within the domain.
  • Document systems and contribute to runbooks, design docs, and operational playbooks.
  • Help build engineering capacity and a center of excellence for the Flex business unit in Bengaluru.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related industry experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience developing highly available, secure, native cloud enterprise SaaS applications in Java.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or other public cloud infrastructure platforms.
  • Experience building highly scalable, real-time distributed systems based on microservices architecture.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with REST API design and implementation.
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and caches.
  • Experience implementing modern automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to translate system designs into software implementations.
  • Strong engineering habits, including development and test techniques, security, and automation.
  • Expertise in solving complex production issues.
  • Positive attitude and ability to learn and execute quickly in a small team.
  • Experience working with iterative development, deployment, Scrum, and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Preferred experience with streaming systems such as Kafka, Flink, or Spark.
  • Preferred experience deploying cloud applications in a multi-region environment.
  • Preferred ability to influence and build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Preferred experience with contact center and customer engagement solutions.
