Description

Collaborate with the team to develop VFX that match each project’s visual style.
Create visually impactful VFX assets using particles, geometry, animation, and materials.
Develop special effects based on particle systems, trails, models, and other 3D elements.
Optimize effects for performance across multiple platforms.
Work closely with technical team members during game development.
Collaborate with teammates to share knowledge and solve cross-discipline problems.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience working in the videogame industry.
Experience creating particles and visual effects for 3D and 2D games in Unity or Unreal.
Strong skills in Photoshop, Substance Designer, Maya, and/or 3DS Max.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to independently and creatively solve VFX technical challenges.
Basic programming skills in C# and/or Blueprints is a plus.
Shader creation experience using code or tools such as Shadergraph or Amplify is a plus.
Experience with fluid, pyro, and RBD simulations using Houdini, Embergen, or Blender is a plus.
Fluent in English.
Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
2D drawing skills are preferred.
Experience working with agile methodologies is preferred.
Understanding of the current games industry landscape is preferred.
