Description

  • Design, train, fine-tune, and evaluate deep learning, classical ML, and generative AI models to support core product features.
  • Build, scale, and maintain machine learning pipelines for continuous training, evaluation, and real-time and batch inference.
  • Collaborate with backend and frontend teams to integrate AI models into microservices with low latency and high availability.
  • Architect scalable data pipelines for preprocessing, vectorization, and ingestion of large structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Implement evaluation frameworks for model alignment, bias mitigation, guardrailing, and cost and latency optimization.
  • Provide technical leadership through code reviews and mentorship of junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Bridge data science research and production-grade software engineering.
  • Influence the AI product roadmap through cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience deploying ML/AI solutions in production environments.
  • Strong Python coding ability and experience writing high-quality production code.
  • Experience building retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions.
  • Experience setting up and maintaining vector databases.
  • Interest in building ML/AI-based products and learning new technologies quickly.
  • Ability to balance quality and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build consensus and alignment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to distill complex problems into clear priorities.
  • Preferred: Experience defining and using Protobuf messages.
  • Preferred: Experience with Docker and deploying applications to Kubernetes.
  • Preferred: Experience with relational and low-latency databases.
  • Preferred: Experience working with Celery.
  • Preferred: Experience writing production code in Java or Kotlin.
  • Preferred: Experience building solutions on AWS or other cloud infrastructure.
  • Preferred: Experience working with highly sensitive data in a healthcare environment.

  • Base salary range of $143,000 to $197,000 per year.
