Description

  • Drive large-scale technical initiatives from concept through production, aligning architecture decisions with business goals.
  • Ship AI-native product experiences in collaboration with product, design, and AI teams.
  • Own the architecture of critical platform capabilities, including the AI-powered site builder pipeline and multi-tenant infrastructure.
  • Set engineering patterns and technical standards that other engineers follow.
  • Shape review practices, developer tooling, and the integration of AI agents into the development workflow.
  • Mentor engineers, coach teams through complex design problems, and help elevate technical quality across the organization.
  • Influence engineering culture, team structure, and long-term system design in an AI-augmented environment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with meaningful time in senior or staff-level roles.
  • Deep expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
  • Experience designing and operating scalable microservice architectures in cloud-native environments, with AWS preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GraphQL, event-driven systems such as Kafka and SQS, and distributed databases including PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proven track record leading high-impact initiatives from concept through production in a SaaS environment.
  • Expert-level grasp of software design principles and experience with multi-tenant platform architectures.
  • You already build with AI daily and use Claude Code as a core part of your workflow.
  • Strong opinions, loosely held, about how AI changes software architecture, team structure, and engineering culture.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and directly with product, design, and executive stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and speed at a fast-growing company.
  • Experience with the listed tech stack: React, Tailwind, Apollo, Node/TypeScript microservices, Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch, AWS, Kubernetes, Lambda, Temporal, Kafka, and SQS.
