Description

Lead the design and hands-on implementation of robust, scalable, and maintainable system architectures tailored to client needs.
Design, develop, and integrate APIs and related specifications to ensure reliable communication between systems.
Guide and mentor engineering teams, conduct code reviews, and establish technical standards and best practices.
Design, set up, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and manage deployment and release processes for reliable production releases.
Engage directly with clients to understand business goals, present technical solutions, manage expectations, and adjust strategies based on feedback.
Run technical spikes to explore new technologies and approaches, evaluate trade-offs, and inform architecture decisions.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize project disruption and ensure delivery milestones are met.
Adapt to diverse project roles—ranging from API design and live team support to full-time DevOps responsibilities—based on client needs.

Requirements

7–10+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in consulting or in-house cross-functional product teams.
Experience building consumer-facing native mobile and web applications with fluency in native languages and core frameworks.
Proven experience architecting, building, maintaining, and scaling modern software across multiple platforms.
Experience designing APIs and writing API specifications.
Ability to design, set up, and maintain DevOps and CI/CD pipelines and manage complex deployments.
Scripting proficiency (examples: Unix shell, Ruby, Perl, etc.).
Understanding of computer networking (VPNs, SSH, Wi‑Fi) and experience setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting networks.
Strong security awareness with the ability to identify potential risks and design around them.
Excellent communication skills, including presenting and defending technical and architectural choices and interacting directly with clients.
Portfolio or work samples demonstrating performant, well-organized code and clean user interfaces; comfort with occasional travel to the MN HQ.
