Description

  • Recruit, build, and lead a high-performing data engineering and management team.
  • Ensure strong team utilization by staffing members on projects and other engagements.
  • Manage regular 1:1 checkpoints, feedback, performance recognition, and performance issues.
  • Support team growth, satisfaction, atmosphere, and wellbeing while acting as a role model.
  • Develop and maintain the operating rhythm and processes for the DE&M competency.
  • Support implementation of the DE&M competency strategy and contribute to competency-wide initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Go-to-Market and Account teams to understand customer requirements and expectations.
  • Help team members achieve high customer satisfaction through close cooperation on acquisition, delivery, and maintenance.
  • Support business development through presales, effort estimation, costing, offers, and presentations.
  • Take responsibility for delivery or leadership work in roles such as Data Engineering Tech Lead, Data Engineering Architect, Solution Architect, Business Analyst, Engagement Manager, or Project Manager.

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar leadership position.
  • Proven experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers.
  • Experience in people management, customer management, and project delivery.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Data Engineering and Data Management.
  • High level of ownership with a self-driven, proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Very strong stakeholder and client management skills across different seniority levels.
  • Experience managing medium-sized projects.
  • Ability to combine technical and business topics and understand customer business value and IT contribution.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools and frameworks that speed up D&A delivery, such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
  • English proficiency at B2+ level.
  • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and cloud-native data tools such as Databricks and Azure Data Factory is a plus.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT, data quality frameworks, and distributed computing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML Ops, GenAI, containerization tools such as Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  • Strong experience in the CPG industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of BI, DWH, cloud solutions, and AI is a plus.
