Description

  • Develop and execute the end-to-end omni-channel patient marketing strategy for post-launch excellence.
  • Own non-personal promotion across unbranded and branded websites, media, social media, CRM, and related patient-facing channels.
  • Optimize digital performance using analytics and audience insights to improve ROI across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Lead strategy and execution for new digital platforms and innovative partnerships, such as YouTube, Reddit, and apps.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships within the SMA patient and caregiver community.
  • Partner with Patient Advocacy and external agencies to incorporate patient feedback and ensure the patient voice is accurately reflected in materials.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Patient Services, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, Market Access, Regulatory, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Align patient marketing initiatives with patient support programs and develop branded patient materials.
  • Partner with agencies to deliver high-impact patient marketing initiatives and lead development of patient-facing assets and event kits.
  • Support post-launch readiness, promotional review processes, budget prioritization, and ongoing optimization of patient tactics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology marketing.
  • 6+ years of experience leading integrated digital marketing strategies and compliant, data-driven campaigns.
  • Significant experience in U.S. patient or consumer marketing.
  • Demonstrated success in specialty or rare disease patient marketing.
  • Experience in neurology, neuromuscular disease, or rare disease strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements for patient-facing communications.
  • Proven ability to lead agencies, manage budgets, and work effectively in a matrixed organization.
  • Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort operating in a first-launch, high-growth environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 30% as needed.
