Description

Design and build desktop applications for mission planning, telemetry monitoring, diagnostics, and ground support workflows.
Develop visualization interfaces for complex time-series and spatial data from autonomous systems.
Create communication interfaces between desktop tools and embedded systems using serial, UDP, custom protocols, MAVLink, or similar.
Build ground support tooling for calibration, pre-flight checks, log analysis, and fleet management.
Collaborate with embedded systems, control systems, flight physics, and power electronics engineers on cross-disciplinary workflows.
Work with the simulation infrastructure team to surface cloud batch results in accessible user interfaces.
Develop web-based analysis and visualization tools connected to cloud databases for replay, dashboards, and fleet trend reporting.
Contribute to software architecture and developer experience for tooling and internal platforms.
Move across the stack between application logic, protocol parsing, lower-level interfaces, and data visualization.

Requirements

5+ years of professional software development experience, ideally spanning both desktop applications and web-based tools.
Strong C++ and/or Python skills.
Experience structuring non-trivial desktop applications.
Experience building user interfaces that work in real-world operational conditions.
Ability to work across the stack from application logic to protocol parsing or data visualization.
Experience integrating software with real hardware or real-time data sources.
High standards for software architecture, API design, and internal tooling quality.
Experience in aerospace, defense, robotics, or another safety-critical domain is a plus.
Familiarity with embedded software concepts and the ability to read, build, run, and understand firmware constraints is a plus.
Exposure to cloud-based simulation or batch processing infrastructure, geospatial visualization, 3D rendering, or large-scale time-series data is a plus.
