Description

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications.
  • Develop backend services and APIs using Kotlin/Java and Spring.
  • Build frontend applications with React, Vite, and TypeScript.
  • Apply component architecture, state management, asynchronous data fetching, accessibility, and performance practices.
  • Work with relational and NoSQL databases, Elasticsearch, and large datasets.
  • Participate in Agile planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to code reviews, technical design, engineering standards, and team practices.
  • Use and validate AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, refactoring, and automation.
  • For senior candidates, own system architecture, evaluate tradeoffs, diagnose distributed-system issues, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

  • Live and work in Quebec province.
  • 2+ years of professional software development experience for mid-level candidates or 6+ years for senior candidates.
  • Computer science or software engineering fundamentals gained through a related degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java with Spring or an equivalent backend framework.
  • Strong proficiency with React, Vite, and TypeScript.
  • Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, query languages, and data best practices.
  • Knowledge of HTTP, REST, and API design.
  • Familiarity with state management and asynchronous data-fetching patterns such as TanStack Query.
  • Knowledge of frontend architecture, render performance, and WCAG/ARIA accessibility standards.
  • Experience with automated testing, Git, and AI coding tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or GitHub Copilot.
  • Preferred experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD, Elasticsearch, microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, Linux/Bash, or data-intensive applications.
