Description

  • Modernize deployment infrastructure by replacing legacy Ansible-based bootstrapping workflows with maintainable tooling.
  • Build backend services that support deployment systems and integrate with artifact and CI tools such as Artifactory and Jenkins.
  • Integrate deployment systems with hardware-in-the-loop integration test frameworks to validate software before vehicle release.
  • Develop automation and tooling that helps engineers deploy software reliably with fewer manual steps.
  • Collaborate with Security, Safety, and Embedded teams to ensure deployments are secure, robust, and automotive-ready.
  • Improve monitoring, logging, and debugging capabilities across deployment pipelines.
  • Build tools and services in Python and systems languages that interact with ECUs and deployment infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a PhD.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for automation, tooling, and service development.
  • Experience with at least one systems language such as Rust, Go, C++, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Linux systems administration and scripting, including systemd, networking, and package management.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, or deployment automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Salt.
  • Comfort working with CI/CD pipelines and release tooling.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug across system boundaries.
  • Experience in a DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure role in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or other embedded/IoT domains, preferred.
  • Familiarity with embedded Linux environments or deploying software to ECUs/edge devices, preferred.
  • Experience with Bazel or similar build systems, preferred.
  • Exposure to over-the-air (OTA) update systems or fleet management, preferred.
  • Experience with gRPC/Protocol Buffers or similar services/protocols, preferred.
  • Background in safety-critical or regulated industries such as automotive, aerospace, or medical devices, preferred.
